New York Skylines

The first 5 paintings were painted on location around the beautiful city of New York, the paintings capture different aspects of the city and highlight views that have caught my eye as I have explored different areas on my first visit to the U.S.A.

Madison Square Park - New York 22" - 30" Oil on Canvas $500

I love the feeling of space and freedom the city parks provide just a stones through from hectic city life, this painting shows the Shake Shack a favourite for burger lovers and the Empire State building.

Central Park 20" - 30" Oil on Canvas $ SOLD

Central park is one of the most beautiful natural environments in New York, A couple sat on the bench with a gentle ray of light illuminating them through the willow tree highlighting the freedom and peace they find in the park setting.

The Turtle Pond, Central Park 11" -15" (image size) Watercolour on paper $250

Watercolour is a beautiful medium and fits the setting of Central Park beautifully, the castle at Turtle Pond is amazing and a joy to paint. I left the reflection in the water loose where the turtles play.

The High Line 21" - 12" Oil on Wood $ SOLD

The High Line is one of New York's gems, the bill board in the center of the painting shows how the High Line used to be and the busy city street to the right with the bustle of New York. The greens in the foreground highlight the peace and tranquility of the High Line raised above the city people who stroll along can find peace and harmony.

Washington Square Park 16" - 20" Oil on Canvas $ SOLD

Washington Square Park is a great spot in New York city, I was taken by the fountain and at the right angle when the sun is shining a rainbow can be seen.
